Summary:
When Xander was very young someone laid a blessing or a curse, depending on your point of view, on Xander. The blessing was that if someone pissed off Xander then bas things would happen to that person. Now enought very bad would happen to that person but they would have a string of bad luck. For example if you were a bad guy then the good guy would always defeat you. Or if a guy would develop an embarrassing case of jock itch right before his big date with a cheerleader. For a girl should could break the heel on her new heels or a demon with a camera is around when the knot on your handkerchief shirt fails. Summary:

• Pick and choose either Xander Harris or Harry Potter for this challenge.
• The Mermaid, Merman, Merperson(whatever word you want to use) that Xander or Harry will be able to turn into (at will, with the ability to choose between both forms at any time) will be based on the Mermaid canon of "Once Upona Time".
• The ability or reason for them to be able to become a Mermaid/Merman is either by ancestry, birth or pure chance of fate or accidental magic.
• For Xander, Ariel spent some time in Xander's world (the Buffy world) and he's a child of both Ariel and Prince Eric from the Enchanted Forest in "Once Upon a Time" and she was frozen there by chance for those 28 years during the Curse when she would have been back in either a few hours or a day, having just given birth to him in the last few days or a few weeks before that, Ariel went back to the Enchanted Forest to sneak a few things out of Prince Eric's room so their son could have a few things of his fathers while he grows up so they could search for Eric together when he got older so he could stay in one place long enough to grow up without being dragged from place to place as a baby, toddler or child/young child. While she was gone she got caught by the effects of the shield Cora cast and was frozen in time like the others under the shield for 28 years until Emma broke the time freezing aspect of the Curse when she accepted the key for a room at Granny's Inn.

• For Harry:
• Those twenty eight years in the Enchanted Forest/Storybrooke were twelve years (after the Chamber of Secrets) or thirteen years (after rescuing Sirius) in Harry's world, in this he never hears the prophecy, and even if he did its not relevant to him anyway. After getting fed up of the Wizarding Worlds constantly shifting opinions after having experienced it since he got his Hogwarts letter and their unrealistic expectations of a child, after having spent the years since he got his letter collecting anything that interested him or could be useful to him, he packs up and gets ready to leave that world for somewhere more interesting and that he could make a city of his own people in. Harry (and anyone he could get to come with him) wind upin the City Ship Atlantis one hundred or two hundred (or more) years before anyone from the SGC/Atlantis Expedition arrives (Elizabeth Weir is still there though, along with a few dozen charged ZPMs and a datapad with instructions on how to create, recharge and charge more). They spend those years restoring the City to working order and understanding and learning everything they can about it while further exploring their world hopping ability and taking back those they either meet and marry or those they think are worthy of being turned into a Mermaid or Merman and joining their City. Through some way they either have or gain the full Ancient/Lantean/ATA Gene.
• Harry has the ability to turn others into Mermaids and Mermen like a vampire or werewolf.
• Mermaids/Mermen also have in addition to what they already have, Immortality, genetic knowledge, and via Harry: telepathy, a hive mind and the ability to use Wizarding and Enchanted Forest magic. When a Mermaid or Merman kisses someone with the intent to breath, they permanently gain the ability to breath underwater. (This list is true for both Harry and Xander specific challenges.)
• Harry finds the control pedestal that gives full control of Atlantis to the one who first touches it, early on after arriving.
• Harry winds up in Storybrooke at some point looking for his parents.
• For Xander:
• The twenty eight years in the Enchanted Forest/Storybrooke can be 17, 18, 19, 20 or 21 years in the Buffy world for when Xander reawakens his Merman abilities and starts preparing supplies to travel worlds and realities.
• Xander reawakens his Merman abilities, Immortality and genetic memories/knowledge at some point after the Swim Team episode in Season Two and continues on until Dawn is created and the Key is split between Xander (because of his world/reality/dimension hopping abilities being a good concealer for the Key essence) and Dawn.
• Because of Glory being after Dawn (and Xander), they decide to hop worlds to get away from her, taking everything they can with them (supplies, modern conveniences, packing up their houses/living places and whatever else they can take with themat the time) and end up in the City Ship Atlantis a few hundred years before the SGC/Atlantis Expedition arrives. Elisabeth Weir is still there along with a dozen concealed ZPMs and a datapad on how to charge, recharge and create more of them.
• Xander finds the same control pedestal as Harry.
• The Enjoining Spell granted them all the ability to turn into Mermaids/Merman and some magical ability for those that didn't have it. (The spell itself also chooses those who are worthy to receive it in their immediate vicinity.) (Optional)
• Xander winds up in Storybrooke at some point looking for his parents.
• Everyone either has or gains the full Ancient/Lantean/ATA Gene early on.
• Xander has magic from both Willow and the Enchanted Forest as do the others.
• Xander can turn others into Mermaids and Mermen similar to how a werewolf and vampire can turn someone.
• You can turn into a Mermaid/Merman form, a Human form and a half form like Gilliweed(?) can give you gills and webbed hands and legs. (Applies to both Harry and Xander challenges).
• As things continue on, they give sanctuary to Slayers and Potentials that they activate.
• Xander never loses his eye(s) or any limbs. None of them do.
• Being in water can regenerate and heal Mermaids and Mermen.
• They run the Council from Atlantis by going back and forth. Slayers, Potentials and Watchers have the option to become Mermaids and Mermen.
(The names in the challenge can go both ways, and are inter-changeable between Harry or Xander, just expanded to fit each specific worlds scenarios.)
• Xander and Harry are the leaders of their Cities and People. They also keep control of Atlantis when the SGC/Atlantis Expedition arrive.

Summary:
Either Pre-Series or Post Master The whole town is thoroughly investigated by ALL relevant governement agencies which leads to a mayor death whilst resisting arrest and a full rebuilding - No more corruption, negligence, stagnancy, incompetence...etc with Key posts such as teachers, cops, doctors, therapists, managers, magic shop owner...etc being filled in by good, experienced, no BS, practical, realistic, insightful, strategic, responsible, modern and proactive: hunters, psychics, natural born witches, halfies, whitelighters...etc The whole town is 1) thoroughly blessed and cleansed of at least 50+ years of bad energies, with the Hellmouth drained down to half strength and warded against leaking and opening, 2) cleaned out of abandoned, dangerous and hidden supernatural, magical and paranormal caches, 3) cleared of at least 60% of its vampire population All Citizens fully cleansed of all the hellmouth corruptive taint, bonds & influence maybe through the water system which would further help in getting rid of the bad guys... All Kids – Forced to attend an accelerated Summer School to get up to State Education Standards for their year groups as well as good group and individual therapy {catches trouble cases before they can become threats such as Warren, Tucker, Marcy, Jonathan, Amy and her Mom, Willow...} Willow – Sent to a good foster care family and community service for her Hacking after a stint in Juvie whilst her parents are discredited & arrested for child neglect, endangerment, abandonment... Xander – Gets Adopted by the McNally's whilst his family is arrested for fraud, DUI, child abuse, neglect, endangerment... Xander Rings: warded against being taken off, unwilling teleportation, physical & spiritual possessions, harmful/malicious & shoddy magicks, tracking, impersonation, mental & emotional compulsion/influence & tampering, unwilling magical & psionic bonds... How would Giles and Buffy react to all the positive changes?, would the scooby gang still form?, would they shun the others in true council fashion?, will they actively work against the others?... How would Xander, Jesse and Willow react to the positive changes?, would willow, xander and Jesse still be friends after everything?, will willow end up bitter about everything as she's not top academic dog anymore?... How would Angel react to all the positive changes?, would someone be able to negate or fix his curse as well as give him a continuous reality check?... Summary:
Xander has been Jack O'Neill's illegitimate son. Xander has been Charlie O'Neill who death had been faked as he was spirited away. Xander has been O'Neill's son who was created by aliens Hell Xander has even been Jack's father! But what if Xander was Jack's twin brother? Now before you say that's impossible hear me out. Loki created Xander and Jack in a lab in the hope of finding the answer to save his people. Having implanted the zygote that would become Jack, Loki froze the Xander zygote for future testing and implantation. Fast forward to the present (or sometime during either show) Jack learns that a teenager/young man has his exact DNA. Fearing a NID/Alien plot, Jack goes to investigate. How Jack learns that Xander shares his DNA is up to the writer but I do have a couple suggestions. 1) The Initiative wanting to know what long-term exposure to the Hellmouth has on a human takes samples from unknowing subjects. During testing it is discover that Xander's DNA matches Jack's. (This is assuming that the Initiative is part of NID) 2) Xander is found injured and suffering from amnesia. Summary:
On the Earth date of July 16, 2004 the first people to walk the halls Atlantis arrived in this nearly forgotten city. As they explored the city the found nothing but deserted rooms and labs but they were overlooking one simple thing. You see they weren't alone. Spying one the men and women from Earth was a lone man. His brown hair was long and in desperate need of a cut; his clothing were nearly thread bare from use but it was his eyes that was the most tailing. His brown eyes would track each and every person who past his hiding spot, judging them, seeing if they were real or his imagination. ~*~ Sometime before the First Evil, Xander is transported to Atlantis with no way to return home. He is left to figure out a way to survive in the city alone. Since he had the ATA gene is able to move around the city and use what he could. Xander Winchester Xander as a half brother or twin 1. Gets adopted by Hunter Caleb whilst age 15/16 & post Acathla or Graduation after meeting during some Sunnydale Cache raiding – Caleb helps him get a better grounding in self defence, supernatural, weapons, first aid... as well as heal from his family & friends abuse & neglect until he finds Caleb body and his Birth dad on the phone. 2. The Gang shunning him after he's forced to kill his possessed step-dad in self defence since despite being possessed he was still human & with a soul – afterwards his big brother Dean comes into town as his emergency contact whilst the gang expect Xander to crawl back to them begging for forgiveness, finds out everything that's happened, thoroughly kicks the Scooby gangs asses and then takes his brother under his wing without John knowledge whilst Sam is at Stanford{side affect could be they stopped in to see Sam & secretly de-possess his friend and put up full protections} 3. Xander bailing on the Gang after realizing at the very least how much they take advantage of him and ends up hunting alone across America until he meets the rest of his family one of three ways 1) at shotgun point in the middle of a hunt, 2) singing & playing guitar on the street, or 3) hitchhiking – side note could be Xander meeting Faith whilst on the Road and once realizing where she's going and the reason why gives a thorough heads up on sunnydale & the gang 4. Xander de-aged by willow to become more of a yes man, gets sent to his unknown to the gang, brother Sam, whilst he's at Stanford and is eventually cured by brotherly love/acceptance, Bobby or Pastor Jim 5. Teen Xander being forced to take care of his suicidal and alcohol addicted [already has issues thanks to the Harris's] half brother Sam after Dean Deal comes due whilst also struggling with keeping Ruby away from them and dealing with a sudden diagnosis of cancer 6. The hospital calling Sam at Stanford saying Xander in a bad way and Sam learning what it truly means to be the big brother whilst Xander heals = could be due to cancer, suicide attempt, returning from hell, bad hunt...etc 7. Xander as Sam twin that was stolen at birth and reunited age 16 after he'd been hunting for two years on the hellmouth & the Acathla incident – ends up going to Stanford with Sam to protect him whilst secretly keeping up with the protections, hunting on the side, working part time in a gunshop, keeping in touch with Dean & Bobby, De-possessing Brady, finding a hunter boyfriend...etc 8. Xander getting legal guardianship of half brother Adam after his mom dies and together with Xander boyfriend whose another trained hunter & Jack O'Neill clone sets out to help stop the Apocalypse whilst working out of their own home base that has enough rooms/beds for them, Dean, Sam, John, & their uncle Clay{loosers} In each bunny the brothers each have a ring that is warded against being taken off, unwilling teleportation, physical & spiritual possessions, harmful/malicious & shoddy magicks, tracking, impersonation, mental & emotional compulsion/influence & tampering, unwilling magical & psionic bonds... Summary:
Oh I will admit I'm not a fan of Major Sam Carter. The writers of StarGate SG-1 had a chance to create a strong female character but they failed and made her into a plot hole fixer. Need a way to escape a death trap, Carter will do it. Need something fixed… Carter will do it. Need someone to kick but and take name… go see Teal'c. Xander is arrested for the murder of Major Sam Carter. The reason being the murder is she was a demon. Carter's breed of demon likes to collect men mostly as their personal harem. They find a male they like and they decide to keep them close by. Any other female who gets close to their males are either drive off or killed. For example shortly after meeting Daniel Jackson his wife, Sha're is kidnapped by the Gou'ald and is eventual killed. Teal'c loses the two women in this life that he came to love. She even influence Colonel O'Neill, driving away any other women so he was centered more on her. So when Xander stumble across her as she tried to remove another threat to her harem, he killed her. What if Xander was changed into a baby again and someone wished that he could have good parents. So this time Xander gets Colonel Jack O'Neill (Stargate) and Angus MacGyver (MacGyver) The Scoobies explain that Dr Maggie Walsh was experimenting which creating perfect soldiers for the military and when she had discover two men who looked almost exactly alike but were in no way related she had to 'breed' them. They go one to explain how they were not the only ones to have this done to them and that many of the other have taken their children and fled. The group also explains that they have named the child Alexander 'Xander' in honor of their friend who fell in the battle while guarding the babies. So now you have MacGyver, Jack and a baby who might remember everything about his previous life trying to figure out what's next. Soldier Boy's name was Colonel Jack O'Neill and he has been tortured to death by his enemy named Ba'al and of course he soon found himself in the body of Xander Harris. Now as any good SG-1 junkie know Ba'al torture, kills and then bring Jack back to life more time then can be counted. But this time when Ba'al bring Jack back to life Jack's soul is a little busy and the only one available is Xander. What if Xander dressed up as youngish Charles Xavier for Halloween instead of a Soldier and he kept not only the very useful memories but the gift of Telepathy as well? Particularly if Xander thanks to the way he's grown up unconciously & constantly scans those around him for threats - hearing & finding out things he shouldn't > leading Xander to proactively taking care of various threats in sunnydale much more quietly, efficiently and effectively including the teams various attitudes as well as providing some necessary perspective for Xander with regards to his life and himself Possibile Crossovers 1) {CHARMED} Xander finds out that he's a Natural Born Witch with Halloween just breaking through the binding, that was placed by the Elders due to his parents continuous addictions, and possibly adding another active power = gets the support/help of the Elders/whitelighters as he learns of his heritage, controls his gifts and handles sunnydale/gang > later on could move to San Francisco and form an alliance with the Charmed ones and some others in keeping San Fran safe and each other grounded in reality 1.5) Xander as just a natural Telepath, though thanks to where he was born and how he got/activated his powers still gains Elders/whitelighters support as he learns to control his gifts and handle sunnydale/the gang = later on he could also be the one to help support Leo supporting the Charmed ones and getting their heads out of their asses as needed Added bonus if Xander and Paige become best friends, helping each other heal and supporting each other against unreasonable sisters/friends that have constant trouble accepting them as they are and not zeppo/replacement instead of friend/sister. 2) {SUPERNATURAL} Xander as one of Azazel children with his gifts coming out sooner thanks to Halloween - leads to him heading several things off 3) {SENTINAL with further possible crossovers in SGC or CSI if sentinals/guides are known} Xander as a powerful guide qualities become more telepathic in nature 4) {X-Men Evolution Or X Men The Movies} Xander as the Psychic son of the real Charles Xavier who with his own Telepathy senses that something has happened, investigates it, fixes it and then fosters/adopts Xander. Summary:
The Scoobies have discovered a prophecy about Xander… The 3rd generation Hellmouth son, conceived and born on top of the very mouth of Hell will search for his 2 mates, Death's undead yo-yos. Death's undead yo-yos are two warriors who have experience the pleasure and pains of Hell itself and have returned from it stronger. Once the Hellmouth son and Death's undead yo-yos are joined they will have the power to control the Hellmouth and call of this world's gates whether they be to the stars or to Hell itself. They will have the power to bring to this world peace for as long as they desire to live or watch it burn to ash. Buffy immediately says that she's on of the Death's undead yo-yo but Dawn points out that Buffy is more like Death's paddle ball, Death gets a couple goods hit in and has to start again while a yo-yo you can go for hours. So now the Scoobies start the search for Death's undead yo-yos ~*~ Death's undead yo-yos are Colonel Jack O'Neill (Stargate SG-1) and Dean Winchester (Supernatural) Jack died a number of times at Ba'al hand before he could escape and Dean died at the Trickster's hand an equal number of time. I figured that Xander's family could have been in Sunnydale a long time perhaps a family of chaos mages on his father side. Xander being related to four+ overprotective snarky no BS people who once they find out how much he's been screwed over {by his parents, willow & her hacking/magic, rosenburgs & their biased psychology, snyder manipulations & sunnydale outdated-corrupt-neglegent-incompetent system...etc} set out to help him every way they can whilst also thoroughly kicking ass with regards to at the very least the Harris's, Buffy, Giles, Willow, Cordelia, Oz, Joyce, Snyder... if not the whole of sunnydale messed up system, with positive lasting results, even if the results are only in Xander, the Family and the innocents best interests.
